Documentary Project on the Erie Canal

Press Release: NYS Canal Corporation, May 17, 2000

The Canal Corporation today announced the filming schedule for the documentary on the historic Erie Canal being produced for the History Channel.

Actuality Productions’s schedule for Thursday, May 18, is as follows:

8:30 a.m. at Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site
10:45 a.m. at Lock 23 restoration site, Rotterdam
1:45 p.m. at NYS Archives, "175th Erie Canal conference"

The program, expected to air mid-August on the History Channel series, "Modern Marvels," will highlight the groundbreaking engineering and historic milestones involved in the building of the Canal, as well as future plans for the 175 year-old waterway.
