Does anyone know how long it would take to go from the state park in Geneva thru the Seneca Cayuga canal to the Erie Canal to Onieda Lake and Where there may be overnight accomadations along the canal route and what the distance may be thank you.

Jack:

This time of year, there aren't that many readers of the forum but I'll give it a shot.

Of course, it depends on what you're taking through the canal that really determines the time, but at about 10 mph, you can get from Seneca Falls to Brewerton in a fairly long day. Plan on about 9 hours, although you might be a bit less.

Meals, right along the canal, can be found in Weedsport, Baldwinsville, Syracuse (a slight detour to the south end of Onondaga Lake), Phoenix (slight detour to the Oswego Canal, about 3 miles) and Brewerton.

Lodging in Baldwinsville - there's not a lot more until you get to Brewerton, but that would give you a nice, two day trip with plenty of time to explore.

Have a good trip!
